What Makes KP GP IV Therapy Different From High Street Drip Clinics?
With vitamin drips now offered everywhere from wellness clinics to beauty salons, what sets KP GP IV Therapy apart isn't the treatment - it's the philosophy. Discover why personalised assessment, patient safety, and honest advice come before any IV drip, and why not every patient leaves with a cannula in their arm.
One of the questions I'm asked quite a lot is:
"What makes KP GP IV Therapy different?"
It's a fair question.
IV therapy has become increasingly popular over the last few years, and there are now lots of places offering vitamin drips. From wellness clinics to beauty salons, the choice can feel overwhelming.
For me, the biggest difference isn't the vitamins.
It's the philosophy behind the care.
I Don't Believe in One-Size-Fits-All Healthcare
Throughout my career in the NHS, I learned that every patient is different.
Two people can walk through the door with exactly the same symptom, yet the cause can be completely different.
That's why I've never believed in offering everyone the same IV drip.
Before I recommend any treatment, I want to understand you.
Why are you tired?
How long have you felt this way?
What does your lifestyle look like?
Have you had recent blood tests?
Are you taking any medication?
Do you have any underlying medical conditions?
Those conversations matter.
Sometimes the Best Treatment Isn't an IV Drip
People are often surprised when I say this, but not everyone who books an appointment with me ends up having IV therapy.
And I'm absolutely fine with that.
If I think your symptoms need further investigation, I'll tell you.
If I think blood tests would help, I'll recommend them.
If I believe oral supplements or lifestyle changes are more appropriate, I'll explain why.
I would much rather someone leaves with the right advice than a treatment they didn't actually need.
Safety Will Always Come First
Patient safety has shaped my entire career.
Before starting KP GP IV Therapy, I worked as a Lead Patient Safety and Risk Facilitator, where my role focused on improving patient safety and learning from incidents across healthcare.
That experience has stayed with me.
It's why I take time to assess every patient properly.
It's why I ask detailed questions about medical history, medications and existing health conditions.
It's why I won't offer treatment if I don't believe it's safe or appropriate.
For me, safety isn't an extra step—it's the foundation of good healthcare.
IV Therapy Is Only Part of the Picture
One thing I always tell patients is that no IV drip can replace the basics.
Good nutrition.
Quality sleep.
Exercise.
Managing stress.
Looking after your mental wellbeing.
These are the foundations of health.
IV therapy may have a role for some people, but it should never be seen as a shortcut or a replacement for a healthy lifestyle.
I want patients to leave with a better understanding of their health—not just a cannula mark on their arm.
Building Trust, Not Transactions
I didn't start KP GP IV Therapy to sell vitamin drips.
I started it because I wanted to create a service where people felt listened to.
Where appointments weren't rushed.
Where patients could ask questions without feeling like they were taking up too much time.
Where healthcare felt personal again.
If someone leaves my clinic feeling reassured, better informed and confident about the next steps for their health, then I've done my job—whether they've had IV therapy or not.
That's the Difference
For me, KP GP IV Therapy has never been about offering the latest wellness trend.
It's about providing safe, honest and personalised healthcare.
It's about taking the time to understand the person, not just the symptoms.
And it's about making recommendations based on what I genuinely believe is in someone's best interests.
Because that's the standard of care I'd want for my own family.
And it's the standard of care every patient deserves.
