KP GP Services, in collaboration with the Joint Injection Clinic (JIC), now offers patients rapid access to a specialist musculoskeletal service providing advanced MSK assessment and treatment, diagnostic ultrasound scanning, ultrasound-guided injections and shockwave therapy.
Where appropriate, patients can undergo clinical assessment, diagnostic ultrasound and treatment within the same appointment, providing a convenient one-stop service for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
The service can assess and treat conditions including frozen shoulder, shoulder impingement and bursitis, calcific tendinopathy, tennis and golfer’s elbow, wrist and hand tendon problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, osteoarthritis, hip and knee pain, tendon and bursal conditions, plantar fasciitis, gout affecting peripheral joints, and many other musculoskeletal conditions.
Treatment options include ultrasound-guided corticosteroid injections, hyaluronic acid injections, hydrodilatation for frozen shoulder, treatment for calcific shoulder conditions, and ultrasound-guided injections for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and gout, where clinically appropriate.
